01My promise to you
Your calculator is yours. Forever.
The Studio Kit file you bought keeps working on your website with no account, no subscription and no end date. You never have to move to Flowery. Nothing about what you bought changes, whether you join or not.
If you try Flowery and it isn't for you, paste your Kit code back onto your site and you're exactly where you started.
Why I built it is simple. I wanted one system. My estimates didn't flow into the rest of my process, and that annoyed me. So I built Flowery. It's the most user-friendly and cost-effective way I've found to run it all, compared to the $275 a month I was paying.
02Create your account
- Go to flowery.co and press Start free.
- Use the same email you bought your Kit with. That's how Flowery knows to give you the five months. Bought it with a different email than the one you use now? Reply to my email or write to hello@flowery.co and I'll add it.
- Type your studio name and a password. Pick either plan. As a Kit owner, you get the full Studio plan either way.
- Check your inbox for an email from Flowery and press the confirm link. It can take a minute, and the first one sometimes lands in spam.
- Sign in. You'll see a small bar at the top showing your free months. That's how you know the gift is on.
Forgot your password later? On the sign-in page, press Forgot your password? and Flowery emails you a link to choose a new one.
03Bring in your Studio Kit
You don't retype a single price. Your Kit's sections, prices, fee, colors, fonts and wording come across in one paste.
First, copy your code from your Kit file
- Open your Studio Kit file in your browser, the same way you did when you built your calculator.
- Scroll to 02 Copy your finished code.
- Press Copy My Calculator Code.
Then paste it into Flowery
- In Flowery, open the Calculator tab.
- At the top, open Have the Studio Kit? Bring it in.
- Paste your code into the box and press Bring it in. Flowery tells you what it found, like "3 sections, 11 pieces, 25% design, delivery, setup & labor," and asks before it replaces anything.
- Look it over in the preview on the right. Nothing goes live until you press Publish to my website at the bottom.
If you paste the wrong thing, Flowery says so in plain words and tells you what to copy instead.
04Make it yours
The Calculator tab reads top to bottom in the same order a couple sees your calculator. Every section starts with one line saying what it is, and See it in the preview jumps the preview to that exact spot. Any box you leave blank shows the standard wording in gray.
| Section | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Your brand | Eight colors and two fonts, so it matches your website. Under Your country, pick your currency and how numbers and dates are written. |
| The top of your calculator | The small label, your title and the intro sentence. |
| Your pieces and prices | Sections like Ceremony or Reception, with a low and high price for each piece. The same number twice makes a flat price. Choose how each piece is counted: each, per foot, per hour, or counted without the word "each" for big pieces like arches. Add a note under any section, and tick Rentals for a rental section. |
| Your fees | Your design, delivery and setup fee, as a percentage or a flat amount, on everything, flowers only or rentals only. You can hide a fee from couples and it still counts in the total. |
| Your minimum | If you don't take weddings under a certain amount, a short line appears under the couple's total when they're under it. Leave it at 0 and nothing shows. |
| The total and the two buttons | The subtotal and total wording, the note under the total, and the Download and Copy buttons couples use to keep their estimate. |
| The form that sends it to you | What the send form says and which questions it asks: wedding date, venue, phone, Pinterest board. |
| The thank-you, on screen | What couples see the moment their estimate is sent. |
| The email the couple gets | The note that goes to the couple with their picks and range, from your studio. Write it the way you talk. Any web address you type becomes a link. |
| The consult button | Your booking link (Calendly, Acuity, anything) and the estimate amount it kicks in at. When the low end of a couple's range clears that amount, the thank-you screen and their email get a button to book a call, with their name and email already filled in. |
When it looks right, press Publish to my website at the bottom. Every change you publish after that reaches your website by itself within a minute. No more re-pasting code when you raise prices.
05Swap it on your website
Scroll to the bottom of the Calculator tab, to Putting it on your website.
- Publish first, if you haven't yet.
- Press Copy my calculator code. It's two short lines. That's all your website needs.
- On your website, open the code block that holds your Kit now. Select everything in it, delete it, and paste your Flowery code in its place. Then save or publish your website. Your Kit file can always make its code again if you ever want it back.
- Send yourself a test. On your live page, build an estimate with your own email and press Send. Within a minute you get the email, and it shows up in Flowery. Check spam the first time.
Adding it to a new page instead? Squarespace: Add Block, Code, leave it on HTML, paste (Code blocks need the Business plan or higher). Showit: an Embed Code element. Wix: Add, Embed Code, Embed HTML, then drag the box taller. WordPress: a Custom HTML block. Shopify: Customize, Add section, Custom Liquid. Want to test privately first? Put it on a hidden page.
06When a couple sends an estimate
Three things happen at once:
- The couple gets an email from your studio with what they picked and their range, plus your consult button if their estimate qualifies.
- You get an email with their name, date, venue and everything they built. Reply to it and it goes straight to the couple.
- Flowery adds them to your Events tab, under Needs you.
Events shows your whole season in the stages you actually work in: Leads, Working on a proposal, Proposal sent, Booked and Done. From a lead you can email the couple, start their proposal, or Pass on it if it isn't a fit. Passed leads sit quietly under Done and you can bring them back any time.
07Build and send a proposal
- On the lead, press Proposal. Everything the couple picked carries over as your design elements, with quantity, price each and total. No retyping.
- You're now in the full proposal editor, which shows exactly what the couple will see. Adjust quantities and prices, add or remove design elements, and give each one a short description. Descriptions matter: "Bud vases" tells a couple nothing, "Three bud vases per guest table in soft blush and ivory" sells it.
- Add photos to any design element, and use the Inspo tab for variety and color notes with photos at the top. You can drag pictures straight in from Pinterest.
- Fill in the details: venue, ceremony time, delivery window and palette.
- Need a discount? It comes off the flowers, and your fee and tax are worked out on the discounted amount.
- Press Couple's view to see it on their side. Then go to Publish & send and press Send the proposal. The email has a button that opens their proposal, and you can edit the wording before it goes.
Changed something after sending? Publish the changes and use Email the couple. If a proposal has been out for a week with no answer, Flowery offers a gentle nudge email for you.
08Signing and getting paid
The contract
Write your terms once in Studio, Contract. Every proposal stamps the couple's names, date and venue on top. The couple signs by typing their name, and Flowery records when they signed and keeps a frozen copy of exactly what they agreed to.
Card payments
- Go to Studio, Money and press Connect with Stripe under Card payments. Stripe walks you through your business details and bank account, which takes about ten minutes. Money from couples goes straight into your own Stripe account and out to your bank.
- On the same page, set your usual deposit and how the balance is split, and which ways couples can pay. Checks and other payments can be recorded by hand in each wedding's Payments.
When a couple pays, they get a "You're booked" email with a receipt, and you get a "Congrats, new booking" email with the deposit, what's left, and a button straight to that wedding.
09Your studio settings
Everything lives under the Studio tab, and it saves as you type.
| Section | What's there |
|---|---|
| Studio | Your studio name, your logo, the email leads go to, and a switch to hide the help text once you know your way around. |
| Website | Your calculator code, the optional inquiry form, and step-by-step help for any website builder. |
| Emails | Every email Flowery sends for you, in your words: the reply to a new estimate, proposal ready, proposal updated and the gentle nudge. You're copied on everything that goes out, unless you switch that off. |
| Billing | Your plan, your free months, and later your card and invoices. |
| Money | Markup, sales tax, deposits, how couples can pay, and Card payments. |
| Contract | The terms every couple signs. |
| Couples | What couples can expect after booking, and how you're told about things. |
| Refer a florist | Your own link to share. Florists who sign up with it get 30 days free instead of 14, and when they make their first payment, you each get a free month. You can see who signed up through you. |
The Numbers tab shows how your calculator is doing: estimates built and sent, your typical range, how many came from a phone, what couples add and take back out, and where they found you. The pieces couples take back out are the prices worth a second look.
10Your five free months
- No card needed. A bar at the top of Flowery shows the date your free months end.
- Reminders. I'll email you a week before, two days before, and on the day they end. You'll never be charged without choosing to subscribe.
- Subscribing early is fine. Your card goes on file, and the first charge still waits until your free months are over.
- If you don't subscribe, Flowery pauses on that day and shows you the Billing page. Nothing is deleted. Subscribe and everything switches back on.
When the five months are up, you choose:
| Option | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Studio plan | $99 a month plus 1% of card payments | Everything in this guide. |
| Calculator plan | $49 a month | The hosted calculator, your leads and your Numbers. Good if you already love another CRM. |
| Your Studio Kit | Nothing, you own it | Copy the code from your Kit file and paste it back onto your website before your free months end. |
You can cancel any time yourself, in Studio, Billing, Manage billing.
11Being a beta tester
You're getting Flowery early, and you're helping shape it. Things will keep improving while you use it, and some of that will come straight from you.
What I'd love you to try
- Bring in your Kit and put the new calculator on your website.
- Send yourself a test estimate.
- Build and send one real proposal.
- Tell me where you got stuck, slowed down or confused.
How to tell me
Email hello@flowery.co. It comes straight to me, and I read every one. A screenshot and a sentence about what you pressed helps me fix it fast. "This confused me" is just as useful as "this broke."
Rather talk it through? Book a 30-minute walkthrough with me on Google Meet. Share your screen and we'll bring in your Kit and get it on your website together.
12Questions
Do I have to switch to Flowery?
No. Your Kit is yours forever and keeps working with no account. Flowery is there if you want the rest of the flow.
Do I have to pay the 1%? Why is there a fee?
Only if you take card payments through Flowery, and you never have to. Take checks, Venmo, Zelle or bank transfers instead, record them in the wedding's Payments, and you'll never pay the 1%.
The 1% covers managing electronic payments on the platform, and it's how I keep the Studio plan at $99 for everyone, since not every florist takes cards. That said, I highly suggest offering cards. It's the easiest way for a couple to pay their deposit right from their proposal. Stripe's own card processing fee is separate, the same as anywhere you take cards.
What if I try it and want to go back?
Open your Kit file, press Copy My Calculator Code, and paste it back into the same code block on your website. That's it.
I already use HoneyBook, Dubsado or another CRM. Can I still use Flowery?
Yes. Every estimate emails you the moment it arrives, and Studio, Website shows how to forward those emails into your CRM or export your leads as a spreadsheet. The Calculator plan is made for exactly this.
Can other florists see my studio?
No. Every studio is private. Couples only ever see their own proposal.
Do couples see Flowery's branding?
No. Your calculator, proposals and emails carry your name, colors, fonts and logo.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Most couples price their wedding on their phone at night, so the calculator and proposal page are built for thumbs. You can run your studio from your phone too.
I'm outside the US. Will my prices look right?
Yes. Pick your currency and how numbers and dates are written under Calculator, Your brand, Your country.
I signed up with the wrong email and didn't get the five months.
Email hello@flowery.co with the email you bought your Kit with, and I'll fix it.
